Coming from a documentary photography background Reni (b.1987 The Netherlands) never imagined she would end up photographing weddings. Yet it turned out to be one of her greatest passions. Having travelled extensively and lived in 4 countries she finds that people are at the centre of her fascination. Whilst not putting beauty as the highlight of her imagery, she instead goes deeper to find a personal story within each wedding celebration. It’s her aim to be surprised and translate that into a photograph that captures an honesty and sincerity.

Reni has been photographing weddings since 2011 and her style is strongly influenced by the classic documentary film photographers.

She is also the founder and curator of Counterpart Photos.
